Bucheon 2002 defender Son Seong-kwan named to Hwang Sun-hong’s Olympic team

Bucheon FC defender Son Seong-gwan has been called up to the South Korean Olympic soccer team.

The Korea Football Association (KFA) announced today the roster for the Olympic team for next month’s first Olympic qualifier and AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifier. The squad is comprised of players under the age of 22. The call-up is in preparation for the first qualifying round for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the 2024 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-23 Asian Cup.

Signor Kwan is a 2002-born central defender who has been in the spotlight since his days at Ajou University. He made his professional debut with Bucheon in the K League. Utilized as an U-22 resource and a regular on the field, Signeon’s uncharacteristic composure and build-up ability have added stability to Bucheon’s three-back tactics.

In October of last year, he was called up to the Olympic squad for the Paris Olympic Games, which was comprised primarily of college players, and then to the U-22 squad for the Doha Cup in March of this year. Hwang Sun-hong, the head coach of the Olympic team, has been keeping a close eye on Signature.

The Olympic call-up training will be held at the Changwon Football Center from Feb. 28 to March 3. The training will determine the final roster for the U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers.

“I think I was able to make the Olympic team because I played consistently for Bucheon. I’m grateful to the manager, coaching staff, teammates, and brothers for giving me this opportunity. I will do my best to stay injury-free and train well so that I can make it to the final selection.”카지노

Bucheon is a team that recruits and develops young players who have the potential to grow with head coach Lee Young-min, who is a “prospect development craftsman. The club vowed to “strive for competitiveness to ensure that Bucheon’s young players are consistently selected for the Olympic team.”
