15-hit blowout over LG, Samsung coach Park Jin-man “comfortable with active offense”

Samsung head coach Park Jin-man shares his thoughts on the team’s big win over LG in the final game of the season.

Samsung won 11-1 against LG in Jamsil on April 28. After scoring two runs in the first inning, Samsung got hits from every batter in the starting lineup. In total, they had 15 hits. Starting pitcher Choi Chae-heung earned his first victory since leaving the military. It was his first start in 737 days since September 21, 2021, against Sajik Lotte.

At the center of the batting explosion was leadoff man Ryu Ji-hyuk, along with Koo Ja-uk, Pirela, and Lee Sung-kyu. Ryu went 5-for-5 with a home run and an RBI, Koo went 3-for-2 with a home run and two RBI, Pirela went 5-for-3 with a home run and an RBI, and Lee Sung-gyu went 5-for-5 with a home run and two RBI.

Choi threw 94 pitches, allowing one run on six hits and one walk with four strikeouts in six innings. It was his first win after seven losses this season without a win. Choi was followed by Choi Ji-gang, Noh Gun-woo, and Kim Seo-joon.토토사이트

With the win, Samsung improved its record to 55 wins, 75 losses, and one tie. They finished the season with a 6-10 record against LG.

“The batters did a good job of preparing for the opponent’s starters, and that led to an active offense in the early innings, which allowed us to run the game somewhat comfortably,” Park said after the game.

“Choi Chae-heung finally got his first win after being discharged from the military, so let’s congratulate him and hope he continues to show solid performances like today until the end of the season.”
