NC foreign pitcher Eric Peddy and LG outfielder Hong Chang-ki were named the September Shell Helix Players of the 2023 KBO League on Wednesday.
The Shell Helix Player of the Month is a monthly honor presented by Shell Oil Company of Korea in conjunction with the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) based on Wins Above Replacement (WAR) to recognize players who have excelled on the field.
Peddie topped the list of pitchers with a WAR of 1.68 in September. In four September appearances, he ranked first in wins (3), first in ERA (0.66), 11th in innings pitched (27.1), first in WHIP (walks allowed per inning) (0.44), and first in strikeouts (40).
LG’s run-scoring machine Hong Chang-ki ranked first among hitters with a WAR of 1.67. In 24 games in September, she ranked second in hits (35), first in runs scored (23), sixth in stolen bases (5), eighth in RBI (15), eighth in batting average (0.402), and fifth in slugging percentage (0.486).먹튀검증
