HERE WE GO! Man Utd’s release operation bounces back…’Former Kim Min-jae’s club’ signing

Fred (30-Man United) moves to Fenerbahçe.

Fabrizio Romano, an expert on European football transfers, said on 11 November: “Fred is leaving for Fenerbahçe. The deal with Manchester United has been completed and agreed. Fred has agreed personal terms with Fenerbahçe and will soon be travelling to Turkey for a medical.”

Fred was born in Brazil and played in his country’s national league before moving to Shakhtar in the 2013-14 season. He became a key player in Shakhtar’s midfield and spent five seasons there before moving to United in 2018-19.

Fred is a ‘box-to-box’ midfielder who covers all areas of the midfield. His biggest strength is his work rate. His physical strength allows him to be constantly on the move and act as a link in the attack. He’s not a particularly technical or creative player, but he can carry the ball.

However, his performances at United left a lot to be desired. His inconsistency was a problem. Fred has been criticised for his up-and-down play from game to game, and his lack of passing ability has left him vulnerable in the build-up from the back, leaving him open to opposition pressure.

When Eric ten Haag took over at United last season, Fred and Scott McTominay were left in the centre of the park, but the team suffered a shock opening two defeats. In response, Van Gaal dropped Christian Eriksen to third choice and brought in Casemiro from Real Madrid. Naturally, Fred and McTominay were pushed out of the starting line-up.바카라

In the summer transfer window, United signed Mount and Fred’s place in the side diminished even further. As a result, he looked set to leave United. There was also the possibility of staying in the Premier League. Fulham were also interested in Fred, but he opted for a move to Turkey.
